Lagos State Approves full Reopening of KG, Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools

The Lagos State Government has approved October 19th for the full resumption of all remaining classes including Kindergarten classes in both public and private schools in the state.

This was revealed in the statement released by the state Commissioner for Education on the 12th October, 2020.

The state commisioner for education, Folasade Adefisayo made it clear that physical resumption for the 2020/2021 academic session would include pupils in pre-primary classes particularly those in daycare, kindergarten, and nursery schools.

She also said that the decision was taken after careful deliberations and consultations with relevant stakeholders including safety professionals and nursery school providers.

She urged school owners, principals and proprietors of private schools to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 safety protocols as earlier outlined by the Nigeria defense for disease control (NCDC).

Parents and guardians can now take their child or wards that are in the above mentioned classes to resume their academic activities.
