Anthony Joshua Reveals Boxer He Would Never Defeat

World boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has admitted that there was no way he could have beaten Mike Tyson, when the American was in his prime.

Joshua reclaimed his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO belts from Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, almost six months after he lost it at Madison Square Garden.

His defeat to Ruiz, was his first during his professional career. But the Briton feels he would lost to Tyson if he was still fighting. “Mike Tyson would have battered me!
“There was no way I could have taken on that guy. 

I would have taken that pay cheque. You know what I did against Klitschko in that 6th round when I took that dive? I’m joking.

“I would have taken a dive against Tyson. He was a beast. I give all credit and respect to Tyson. 

Even though Tyson is going on like 50 now, I still remember Tyson as the young, young 21-year-old.

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua showed how much of a Yoruba boy he is when he met with President Muhammadu Buhari earlier on Saturday, January 18. The heavyweight world boxing champion was hosted by Buhari in London, UK, where the Nigerian president is presently visiting for government business. After shaking hands with the president, Joshua - who recently defeated Andy Ruiz to reclaim his belts - went down flat as a sign of respect. His action elicited laughter from all the government officials present at the meeting. The champ also made sure to present his belt to the president, who was more than elated to receive him. President Buhari is in London for the first-ever UK-Africa summit on investment. The event is scheduled to hold on Monday and the president will return back to Nigeria on Thursday, January 24. Strike: Students beg ASUU to call off 8month old Strike

Some university students on Thursday appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities to consider their future and resume to work in their various institutions. Some of the students, who spoke with the  News Agency of Nigeria  in Enugu, expressed worries and lamented as they appealed for the suspension of the prolonged strike. The students said they were tired and frustrated due to the time wasted without any academic achievement. They said the strike would make them remain in the university more than it was necessary. ASUU has been on strike since March 2020 over demands for more funding for public universities and renegotiation of the 2009 FG/ASUU agreement. Others are outstanding earned academic allowances, the proliferation of universities by state governments, and the constitution of Visitation Panels to Federal Universities.
